Published November 22, 2022
During the 2022 Frankfurt Book Fair, Sybille Geisenheyner (Director of Open Science Strategy and Licensing for ACS Publications) took part in a Velocity of Content panel organized by the Copyright Clearance Center, focusing on the importance of high-quality data as part of the publishing process.
Sybille discussed how the publication process makes use of data from a variety of angles – from providing ways for researchers to include experimental data alongside their publications, to the role of data in building transformative agreements with consortia and funders, to how good metadata provided by authors and institutions can result in a faster and more straightforward publication process.
